Adolph Brown, Ph.D.

Adolph Brown is a highly sought after international speaker, trainer, executive coach and author, Dr. Adolph Brown is one of America's leading authorities on Educational Excellence and Leadership Development. Having overcome a childhood fraught with extreme poverty, violence, fatherlessness, and a single-mother led household, Dr. Brown's ultimate desire is to empower individuals, families, and youth to take charge of their lives and create a brighter future for themselves, their community, and their country.

With multiple degrees from the College of William and Mary, Dr. Brown is presently on a writing sabbatical from Hampton University where he was a tenured full professor, Chair of the Department of Psychology/Education, and Academic Dean of the graduate college.


Robert Franco, Ph.D.

Dr. Bob Franco is an ecological and urban anthropologist focusing on contemporary educational, employment, health, and cultural issues. Known not only for his teaching and published scholarly/policy research, he is internationally recognized as a expert in the field of higher education and engaged scholarship from the perspective of many academic disciplines.

As Director of Institutional Effectiveness at Kapiolani Communtiy College, University of Hawaii, he bridges the cultures of faculty and administration, shapes an innovative international experience on campus and leads a wide array of campus-community engagements with non-profits, and public and private sector partners.

As a specialist in high demand, Dr. Franco is a consultant to the American Association of Colleges & Universities (AAC&U), American Council on Education, Campus Compact, National Science Foundation (NSF/SENCER), and more. He also serves on the advisory board for the International Institute on Partnerships at Portland State University.


Laura Osteen, Ph.D.

Laura Osteen is Director of the Florida State University Center for Leadership and Civic Education. The Center is a campus-wide endeavor to develop responsible citizens and effective leaders. As an Adjunct Professor in School of Education's Higher Education and Leadership Program, Laura directs the University's undergraduate academic certificate/minor in Leadership Studies. She received her doctorate of philosophy degree from the University of Maryland in the field of College Student Personnel with an emphasis in leadership development and organizational change. Her master's degree is in Student Affairs and Higher Education from Colorado State University – Fort Collins and her undergraduate degree is in Speech Communications from Indiana University – Bloomington.


Heidi Otway, APR

Heidi Otway is the Director of Public Relations and Social Media at Salter>Mitchell, an award-winning communications and behavior change firm with offices in Tallahassee, Orlando and Alexandra, Virginia. At Salter>Mitchell, Heidi is the chief strategist for developing social media engagement tools, tactics and content for client accounts. Some of her clients include the CDC, Florida KidCare and the University of South Florida. She is currently using social media engagement strategies to implement a campaign that makes it easier for new college students to get involved on campus through clubs and groups that match their interests.
