Award Winners Honored at the 2014 Florida Campus Compact Awards Gala
Jacksonville, FL October 15, 2014- The 2014 winners of the prestigious Florida Campus Compact Awards were honored at the Florida Campus Compact Awards Gala on Wednesday, October 15. The Gala was held at the Adam W. Herbert University Center on the beautiful campus of the University of North Florida and was hosted by President John Delaney.
Attendees enjoyed a keynote address by Richard Guarasci, Ph.D., President, Wagner College and National Campus Compact Board Chair. Winning individuals and institutions were selected from entries from across the state. The finalists and award winners of the Florida Campus Compact Awards are the people who are in the trenches, forging sustainable campus-community partnerships that enhance the collegiate experience and help students become stronger and more active citizens. These awards recognize the outstanding work of faculty, administrators, service coordinators, AmeriCorps VISTAs, community partners and others who make substantial contributions to support engaged scholarship
The Florida Campus Compact Awards Gala is the premier recognition venue that formally acclaims exceptional service-learning and engaged scholarship currently underway all across Florida. In addition to raising awareness, and recognizing those who set the highest standards, this event is also the only fundraising function that exclusively supports the continuing mission of Florida Campus Compact.
