Florida Campus Compact (FL|CC) is excited to announcement the location and dates for AmeriCorps VISTA Program In Service Training (IST) this summer! We hope that many of you will have the opportunity to attend the Retreat and to network with the FL|CC AmeriCorps family as well as attend workshops highlighting campus-community partnerships, student civic engagement, college access mentoring and FL|CC programming in Florida. Attendees will also participate in local service projects as part of the IST.
When? July 29th-31st
Where? Sarasota Florida-Ringling College of Art and Design & the Hilton Garden Inn
Who Should Attend? FL|CC VISTA members that have started their term of service within the past nine months (including those attending the May, June & July 2015 PSOs) and VISTA members that are reenrolling for a second term. FL|CC plans to cover approved travel expenses & mileage as well as cover the meals and lodging for FL|CC AmeriCorps VISTA members attending the IST. Space is limited; please register as soon as you can. Please note, FL|CC VISTA members that are scheduled to exit their term of service this August or September, and have not previously attended IST, are also invited to attend, but due to limited space and budget, priority will be given to the previously mentioned groups. Additionally FL|CC VISTA Site Supervisors are invited to attend as well; FL|CC may be able to offer limited financial support.
Event Registration: Please complete the online registration survey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GL387G3) indicating your interest and availability to attend the Service Retreat by no later than June 15, 2015. FL|CC will then send you confirmation of your registration, attendance and lodging shortly thereafter along with additional event details.
