AmeriCorps VISTA Program Project Host Site Applications Now Available!

Project Host Site Applications for the Florida Campus Compact (FL|CC) AmeriCorps VISTA Program are now available for new & renewing Project Host Sites for the 2015-2016 program year!

AmeriCorps VISTA is a national service program designed specifically to fight poverty. Founded as Volunteers in Service to America in 1965, VISTA has been on the front lines in the fight against poverty in America for 50 years. AmeriCorps VISTA members commit to serve full-time for one year on a project at a nonprofit organization or public agency. They work to build the organizational, administrative, and financial capacity of organizations to improve education, foster economic opportunity, and strengthen community groups.

The FL|CC AmeriCorps VISTA Program provides FL|CC member institutions and community-based organizations the opportunity to host a full-time AmeriCorps VISTA member. FL|CC AmeriCorps VISTA members seek to engage educators, students, and local stakeholders to improve education and address societal needs through campus-community partnerships, applied civic education, and engaged citizenship.
